چکیده
Abstract Background For well over a century, rhizobia have been recognized as effective biofertilizer options for legume crops. This has led to the widespread use of rhizobial inoculants in agricultural systems, but recurring issue emerged: applied struggle provide growth benefits largely attributed presence soil and termed ‘rhizobial competition problem.’ Scope Microbiome engineering emerged methodology circumvent problem by creating microbiomes that do not require exogenous rhizobia. However, we highlight an alternative implementation microbiome focuses on untangling complexities symbiosis contribute problem. We outline three approaches different starting inocula test hypotheses overcome Conclusions The suggest are targeted at various stages legume-rhizobium will help us uncover underlying molecular mechanisms conclude with integrative perspective these path forward future research legumes their complex microbiome.

Phylogeny and Phylogeography of Rhizobial Symbionts Nodulating Legumes of the Tribe Genisteae
The legume tribe Genisteae comprises 618, predominantly temperate species, showing an amphi-Atlantic distribution that was caused by several long-distance dispersal events. Seven out of the 16 authenticated rhizobial genera can nodulate particular Genisteae species. Bradyrhizobium predominates among rhizobia nodulating Genisteae legumes. Bradyrhizobium strains that infect Genisteae species belo...
متن کاملNon-rhizobial nodulation in legumes
Legume Rhizobium associations are undoubtedly form the most important N2-fixing symbiosis and play a subtle role in contributing nitrogen and maintaining/improving soil fertility. A great diversity in the rhizobial species nodulating legumes has been recognized, which belongs to α subgroup of proteobacteria covering the genera, Rhizobium, Sinorhizobium (renamed as Ensifer), Mesorhizobium, Brady...
متن کاملRoles of rhizobial symbionts in selenium hyperaccumulation in Astragalus (Fabaceae).
PREMISE OF THE STUDY Are there dimensions of symbiotic root interactions that are overlooked because plant mineral nutrition is the foundation and, perhaps too often, the sole explanation through which we view these relationships? In this paper we investigate how the root nodule symbiosis in selenium (Se) hyperaccumulator and nonaccumulator Astragalus species influences plant selenium (Se) accu...
متن کاملIdentification of rhizobial strains nodulating Egyptian grain legumes.
Fifty four bacterial strains were isolated from root nodules of the grain legumes Cicer arietinum, Lens esculentus, Phaseolus vulgaris, Pisum sativum, and Vicia faba grown in cultivated lands of Beni-Suef Governorate (Egypt). Repetitive extragenic palindromic (REP)-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) clustered the strains into 15 REP-PCR groups. The nearly complete sequence of the 16S rRNA gene fro...
متن کاملDevelopment of a framework to evaluate service-oriented architecture governance using COBIT approach
Nowadays organizations require an effective governance framework for their service-oriented architecture (SOA) in order to enable them to use a framework to evaluate their current state governance and determine the governance requirements, and then to offer a suitable model for their governance. Various frameworks have been developed to evaluate the SOA governance. In this paper, a brief introd...
